Refinishing the storage cubbies
We noticed the storage cubbies were looking a little worse for wear. We saw the opportunity roll up our sleeves and refinish the pair.
We noticed the levels of playground mulch were decreasing in the playground and increasing in the rock beds. We saw the opportunity to attempt to contain as much mulch as humanly possible to the playground area.
The Dads Group spent multiple days cleaning up the displaced mulch and building a relatively level (I mean… unless it is a church or a bar – amiright?) retaining wall to not only hold the rubber mulch back but also ensure the playground and areas around it look clean and inviting.
Now when the kiddos are out on the playground the rubber mulch stays where it is supposed to – yes, we understand that your child brings home a ton of the rubber mulch each day in their shoes. We can confirm that we spend time discussing solving this issue on the last Thursday of each month during our “planning” meetings. Stay tuned!

We noticed the storage cubbies were looking a little worse for wear. We saw the opportunity roll up our sleeves and refinish the pair.
We were asked to help the school install their newly purchased protective gym pads. We saw the opportunity to get together and hang out instead of putting away our Christmas decorations – which we said we would put away the weekend before.
We noticed after a heavy snowfall that the parking lot plows made the shed inaccessible. We saw the opportunity to rally and fix this so the school could access their storage.
